ANZAC Day is celebrated on 25 April. Australian and New Zealand Army soldiers landed at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915 to engage in the first major military action fought by ANZAC forces during the First World War. Although the Gallipoli effort was not a success, this day is set aside as an occasion of national commemoration to honour those who died in war. Dawn services are held at war memorials across Australia. These photos were taken the day after ANZAC at the War Memorial, Canberra. See http://www.awm.gov.au for more information about the Memorial. … See my Tabblo>
